December 31 is time to bid the year farewell.
To light up candles, and even cast spells
To set unreachable goals, dream impossible dreams
To hope for victory, release the steam
Are we wrong to celebrate while comrades battle
For a simple bed or milky bottle?
Is it okay to revel in happiness and bliss,
While the rights of many have gone amiss?
When the fireworks go off, when champagne bottles pop, when horns are blown
Are the troubles now gone or will they be back soon?
