Linguist David Graddol stoked the debate again surrounding whether it is better to learn a language with a native speaker of that language or a compatriot who speaks the same tongue.
What are the advantages of learning with a native speaker?
What are the pluses of learning with a non-native teacher who speaks your language?
Is a teacher's nationality or lingusitic heritage really all that important?
Aren't there other factors that make a bigger difference in how and what you learn in a foreign language?
The discussion has officially kicked off.
